Statement On The Mesa Water Crisis

AUGUST 20, 2024 - Early on August 20, 2024, I was made aware of the ongoing crisis in Mesa, related to its water sources and the illness and death that the water has caused. From what I understand as of now, is that the water contains fatal amounts of Lead, and Mercury. At this point, Governor Joshua Adamson has directed state residents to continue boiling water, extending a previous executive that he signed back on August 1, 2024, in response to the hospitalization of 6,000 people.

As he continues to deal with this ongoing crisis, I will be making a trip to Mesa, meet with Governor Joshua Adamson, and see what he needs from the Federal Government in terms of equipment, water supplies, funding, and emergency response teams. As with any crisis, I am fully aware of rapidly evolving and changing information, so Governor Adamson has assured me that he will give me continued updates with the most up to date information as he continues to address the ongoing water crisis.

For what I will do now, I am continuing delivery of millions of gallons of clean water, billions of cases of fresh bottled water, and will provide, for now over 2.8 billion dollars to allow continue testing of water sources across Mesa. It is my duty to ensure that Mesa and officials have the resources, tools and funding that they need so I will be declaring a state of emergency here, which will allow me to send as much funding as possible to Mesa at this time.

Congress has also agreed that any funding that I need, they will help get it passed so that it can be sent to Mesa to address the water health emergency. We are continuing to keep in contact with Governor Adamson, Lt. Governor Brentwood, and other health officials there who are providing updates as the response continues.

For now, we send our prayers to the families of those lost by the lead and mercury poisoning and can't express enough, the unimaginable pain that they are facing right now. We will continue to provide updates to you as they come in.

Signed,
John McCallum

President Of The United States Of Jesstopia
