The Nationalist House will undergo major construction on all four fence lines starting early August into late October 2025. During the project, there will be four phases. These Phases are Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3, and Phase 4. 

Each phase will be outlined below.

PHASE 1:

During Phase One, work will commence to both replace and heighten the South Fence Line. During the project, the fence will be raised by six meters and will also increase security checkpoints throughout the fence line. This phase will take approximately 1 day to complete. The project cost is estimated to be around J125,000.

PHASE 2: 

During phase 2 of the project, work will continue onto the West fence, and it too will be raised by 6 meters. Work on the west side of the fence line is scheduled to take slighly longer than Phase 1 and is scheduled to take roughly 2-3 days to complete after work commences. This side of the fence is estimated to cost J257,000. 

PHASE 3:

During phase 3, the North fence line will be raised by 6 meters. The work on the North Fence line is likely to take slightly less time and will be completed in about 1-2 days.

PHASE 4: 

During phase 4, the Eastern fence line will be raised by 6 meters, and work to complete this project will take 1-2 days to complete. Traffic delays on Nationalist Avenue should be expected during fencing work due to security measures as the fence line will be breached by the work.
