President Laylin Proposes 65 Billion Dollar Funding Bill To Provide Housing For Homeless Veterans

December 27, 2024 - President Laylin has introduced a bill aimed at providing housing to homeless vets for free, using 65 billion dollars he has proposed spending.The President said that "veterans are the most impacted and neglected people in our country, because for the service and sacrifice they made in the name of our country, they get left behind as soon as they return home. Battling with mental illness(usually PTSD), the lack of a home to return to, and the failing veteran healthcare system. As we work to honor those who served our country, we also work to improve their living conditions and get 100% of our homeless vets of the streets.

The President issued that he was set to propose several veteran-based bills to aid in ensuring they are given proper homes, improve the veteran health care system and ensure vets were taken care of before any illegal. Congress is set to vote on the bill proposal on January 1, 2025, the very first and opening day of the 84th Congress. The House is is likely to delay the vote on the bill until after January 5, 2024, when Speaker LeWolf steps down as Speaker.
