Pres. McCallum Orders Flags To Half Staff For Kirk Paul

JUNE 27, 2024

RUFUS - President John McCallum has ordered all Jesstopian flags to be lowered following the death of Kirk Paul who died following a shooting at his private Hotel room on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Governor Kirk Paul had served as the 19th Governor Of Mesa from 2021-2023. He previously served as a State Senator, advocating for black history rights and served as councilman for the Black History Iniative that served to remember honorable and memorable black influential people who made a difference for the black community in the United States Of Jesstopia.

He made strives to end the homeless crisis in the State of Mesa, by investing his own money to build 2 apartment complexes, which are still operating today. He improved the State's tax code when he served in the Mesa Senate. He reduced inflation by 82% during his less than 2 years as Governor and increased military pay by 26%.

His service to our state has been astronomical, even as the pandemic raged on during his first couple of months. While we remain on the opposite side of the isle, he was a good man, father and husband and it was my honor to get to meet him in Mesa on numerous occasions. Our hearts hurt for his family, and I hope to continue to support the Paul family.
