FLAG STATUS: HALF STAFF
Today marks the 24th Anniversary of one of the saddest days on Planet earth. September 11, 2001, changed the course of global history. The attacks on the World Trade Center solidified the need to fight terrorism globally. In response to this tragic day, the United States Of Jesstopia and its military prepared to go to Iraq and Afghanistan under President George W. Bush's Global War On Terrorism. In our fight against terrorism, we worked countless hours, days, and years to bring to justice one man responsible for the deaths of over 2,000 people.
As our relationship has grown throughout the years, we shared in the American grief that was not just felt in the US, but abroad. As we as well as the nation's across the world, worked to put the pieces back together, there was one thing that has always stuck with me. That is the American resolve that drove back the darkness of terrorism, but the light from neighbors helping neighbors, and friends comforting friends. We as a nation, remember the countless lives lost that day, and we will never forget that day until they day that we die.
My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the families of the victims of this senseless tragedy, but am reminded of the unwavering optimism of the US on this historic and somber day. We will forever be allies with the US, and we will forever fight terrorism, together. We will never stop fighting to protect the democracies across the globe.
We will never forget the brave men and women of flight 93 who bravely stepped in to prevent the White House and other government buildings from being further attacked. Their bravery will be immortalized for centuries and centuries to come.
We will never forget the emergency responders who lost their lives while working to save the lives of those trapped in Buildings 1 and 2, before those towers fell. That day will be ingrained in the history books as one of the worst days in American history and we must not let terrorism to win. We must not let history repeat itself and we must secure the borders that make our country great.
May everyone who died forever rest in eternal peace, and may the memories of those who perished forever live on in pictures, stories and memories.
May God Bless You, May God Bless Jesstopia and May God Bless The United States Of America.
Signed,
Jay Laylin
President Of The United States Of Jesstopia
