President Laylin On Rejection Of 2024 Wasteful Government Spending Prevention Act
January 25, 2025 - Today, the House voted against pushing forward the 2024 Wasteful Governmetn Spending Prevention Act, which in whole, would limit the authority of government to spend within well regulated means. This act would have been enforced by the House Ways and Means committee, and now that it has failed, we, the Laylin administration can't get inflation under control as it requires this act to be in effect. We will do what we can to ensure that we lower inflation by other means, including signing cuts to funding for non-essential programs.
I am very disappointed that they House voted against stopping wasteful government spending, which to be honest, was expected. We will continue to lower the costs of living, even as inflation won't be directly addressed by this act. We will, as I have always said, continue to address inflation and get the cost of living down.
I will continue to sign legislation that aims to lowering the cost of groceries, gas and rent and mortgages. I know it is an extremely trying time to be a Jesstopian right now, but we are here to work throught he high costs, that fortunately, are slowly starting to come down a bit. The actions taken by the Nationalists is dispicable, and they should be ashamed for voting against this act.
Thank you,
Jay Laylin,
President Of The United States Of Jesstopia
